CONTINENTAL GT S

Styled to set hearts racing and powered by a 4.0 litre V8 engine, the Continental GT S exudes sporting attitude. Whether you’re turning heads in the city or leaving it far behind, this is a grand tourer with a bold, uncompromising edge.

Dressed to thrill

The Continental GT S combines bold sports styling with an agile drive, resulting in a luxury grand tourer with a thrilling edge. Instantly recognisable, thanks to its dark exterior detailing, this is a leaner, meaner take on the Continental GT.

The story continues beneath the bonnet, where its twin-turbocharged V8 engine lies in wait. When you’re ready to head out, four driving modes let you explore every aspect of your car’s unique character, from relaxed city cruising to the excitement of the open road.

Design

EMBRACE YOUR DARK SIDE

The chrome finish on the exterior details known as brightware has been replaced with gloss black. That includes black window surrounds, lamp bezels, door handles, tailpipes and even a black matrix grille.

A sleek, black sill extension makes the car appear even closer to the road, while black gloss door mirrors create a contrast against the gleaming paintwork. Dark tint front and rear lights add a brooding finishing touch.

The 21" Five Tri-Spoke wheels combine bright machined sections with gloss black, to stunning effect. The red gloss brake callipers that peer through the spokes can be finished in an optional black, if you prefer.

Step inside and you will see the ‘S’ emblem engraved into the metal surface of the interior treadplates. The exclusive theme continues with an ‘S’ badge emblazoned on the fascia and embroidered on the fluted seats.

A striking, model-specific upholstery design includes Dinamica panels on the seats, dash and gear lever – even the heated steering wheel. Your chosen accent colour, meanwhile, can be seen on the instrument panel, console top, seat bolsters and doors.

Even the car’s digital interfaces benefit from sports styling. The driver’s instrument panel behind the steering wheel features graphics designed specifically for Bentley’s most performance-oriented models.

Technology

The Continental GT S includes wireless Apple CarPlay*, a Wi-Fi hotspot and phone charging (USB or wireless). Further connected services include Online radio and Traffic sign recognition**. Learn more about My Bentley connected services.

The optional Touring Specification adds features such as a night vision camera, adaptive cruise control and Lane Assist.

There are two optional alternatives to the standard Bentley Signature Audio system: the Bang & Olufsen for Bentley system or, for the ultimate in in-car audio, the unrivalled Naim for Bentley.

Performance

The twin-turbocharged 4.0 litre V8 engine delivers 542 bhp (550 PS), translating into acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds (0-100 km/h in 4.0 seconds) and a top speed of 198 mph (318 km/h).

SPORT MODE

Four driving modes include Comfort, Bentley and Custom, which lets you create your own mode. Sport mode, however, has been calibrated to deliver the agile drive the ‘S’ badge represents.

In Sport mode, the car doesn’t just feel more exciting – it sounds truly incredible. That’s because it optimises the Sports Exhaust to deliver the ultimate V8 roar when you put your foot down.

SUPREME CORNERING STABILITY

The Continental GT S comes fitted with Bentley Dynamic Ride, Bentley’s innovative 48-volt electronic anti-roll system, designed to enhance stability when cornering, without compromising overall ride quality.

ALL-WHEEL DRIVE WHEN YOU NEED IT

Active all-wheel drive gives you all the control you enjoy in a primarily rear-wheel drive car – alongside the facility to automatically switch to all-wheel drive, the moment the system detects a drop in traction beneath any of the wheels.

In situations when the car’s full power is not required, half of the cylinders in the engine can shut off automatically, only to re-engage instantaneously when you choose to accelerate.
